Have I mentioned how much I love my job?! Well I do. Last week I got to get together with a couple girls from the other Philly stores and our instagram contest winners to do a little photoshoot at the farm I've been riding at the last few years. It was such a fun day. I mean, horses, amazing clothes, and some awesome girls - it just doesn't get much better than that. And how awesome did these photos turn out? I am seriously obsessed! Demi-Brooke did an incredible job. It was so much fun that my brain has already been running around thinking of the next one:)

My ladies have gotten so big! I still remember the week we got these girls (well, back then we were still just hoping they were girls!) and how tiny they were, and how we chased Chuck around the yard for a day after she escaped. Now they're huge and beautiful and laying delicious eggs every day. These two aren't quite as sisterly as Sam and Melanie were (they never went anywhere without each other!), but they do get excited to see me when I walk out everyday, which I love:)

I got an early Christmas present yesterday - the chickens started laying eggs! You might remember we got new chicks this summer and were crossing our fingers that they were both girls. Well, we were lucky - they are! and they're both big and beautiful now (I'll have to post some photos soon!). I kind of gave up hope that they would start laying since now it's been so cold so I forgot to check their nesting boxes this week. I was pretty shocked when I opened their boxes yesterday afternoon and one of them was overflowing with eggs! I'm pretty darn excited to once again not have to buy supermarket eggs.

I realize that none of this has to do with what I'm wearing, or anything really. But hey, some days ya just gotta brag about your chickens.
