A Day at the Fair

It's that time of year when every other week is a local county or 4H fair and I adore it! I'm excited to go this week to see my friend and her students show their horses, and cry over wanting to bring home a goat and a couple bunnies (the norm, ya know). Of course, I get daydreamy about what to wear even to a country fair, and you know I'm all about keeping it pretty simple and classic. My favorite thing about all of these peices is that they could be easily mixed with other things nd wouldn't be just a one-time-wear, which is something over the years I've learned to say no to, even when I love something, if I can't wear it more then one way then it's probably not worth it.

Coffee Bean There Bag // Pretty much completely in love with this bag. It's gorgeous, has tons of pockets, and looks like it could easily fit my camera in it too, so extra points for that!

Show Jumping Horse Print Dress // A horse print dress. Um, yeah. No need for further comment.

Arrowstack Necklace // So lovely! I could see myself wearing it everyday

Leica M7 // I'll just keep on dreaming:)

Panama Hat // I've been looking for a classic Panama hat for a while now and this one looks so perfect (of course it's J.Crew - I find myself drooling over a different hat there every season it seems).

Thrift (&Yard Sale) Finds

Vintage Camera Bag $3

I must say, one of my favorite recent thrifts! I have a great camera/laptop bag that's nice and sturdy, but not really all that pretty. This one is much more compact for when I want to just bring my camera and a lense or two and still look cute! Love it!

Vintage Phone $2

We don't even have a land line, but this cutie almost makes me want one! I fell in love with the deep red color of it and had to have it! Even if all it does is sit and look pretty :)

Vintage Camp Lantern $1

I saw a similar camp lantern in a thrift store a few months ago and fell in love with it, but apparently someone told them it was an antique and they got carried away because it was priced at $75! Crazy! I knew if I held out I could find one cheap, and then a yard sale brought me and this adorable one together!

So my birthday/(1st!)anniversary isn't until tomorrow, but my amaaaazing husband gave me my present early last night - A NEW CAMERA!!

My poor old guy has been nothing but problems recently (but then again, it's 7 years old and I've used it pretty much every day since the day I emptied out my savings account and purchased it - so you gotta give it some credit). And I've been eyeing the Nikon D5100 since it came out last year, AND NOW I HAVE IT!

I just had to pop in this morning and share my insane excitement with everyone!

Now I'm off to ride this afternoon:)
