Halloween Bunting

Fine and Feathered Blog

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. You get to dress up fun and eat candy until your sick - whats not to love? This year I really wanted to do a little decorating and thought I'd be fun to make some things on my own!

For the "bat bunting" I used pages from an old (falling apart) book. Fold the paper in half, then cut out your shape, once you have one done you can use it as a pattern.

I looked up bat outlines on google and just traced a shape onto some thick black paper, cut out and glued to one of the buntings

Open the bunting, lay the string across the middle, smear some glue on one side, and close (adhearing the insides together).

Yay! The "boo" one is just as easy...

Start the same way as the first one, but cutting out a triangular shape instead. Glue onto the string and then paint words and shapes on with craft paint and let dry - simple!

What I Made

I've decided I need to start crossing things off my DIY To-Do List (as well as find some more good DIYs to add to it). One of the easier things on there that I already have everything for was a shrinky-dink necklace! I've seen a few different little flag-bunting necklaces around the internet and thought it might be cute to do one with the Shrinky-Dinks my mother gave me a while ago. After I baked them up I just added them onto a vintage chain I'd had laying around forever. It really amazed me how super-duper easy they are... I will definitely have to play with shirnky-dinks somemore:)
